Hooligan Art Community is an independent theatre company founded in 2019 in Kyiv, Ukraine. We create brave, unconventional performances in non-traditional spaces that activate the dynamic relationship between performer and audience. Led by artists from Ukraine, the UK and Germany, our work spans performance, music-theatre, installation and film, rooted in a collaborative devising process that draws on movement, music, text and moving image. We are committed to artist development as a means of creation.

With russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, many of our artists were displaced. Now based in the UK and Germany, we continue to tour internationally, including our acclaimed Bunker Cabaret, developed in Kyiv bomb shelters and performed across the UK and Europe.
